Please contact City Hall to establish garbage servcie - (205) 655-7478.
Residential garbage, recycling, yard debris, and miscellaneous debris pickup is provided at no cost to the resident.  One 96-gallon garbage container is provided to each house and recycling bins are available at City Hall.  Yard debris generated by the resident, such as trimmings and limbs should be placed behind the curb or ditch - not in the gutter or street - for pickup.  Leaves and grass clippings should be bagged and placed behind the curb.  In the late fall and winter a leaf vacuum truck is run, and during this period, leaves may be raked into piles just behind the curb.  Small miscellaneous items such as broken lawn furniture, lamps, tables, etc. may be placed behind the curb for pick up.
